Day 10 – Coventry Cathedral

Today we first visited a friend in Derby so we did not have much time for sightseeing. In the afternoon we went to Coventry, which is famous for its cathedral. Actually there are two cathedrals to visit in Coventry; the old one, which is the ruin of the cathedral that was destroyed during World war II, and the new one, which was built to replace the old one. We started with the old cathedral.

Just next to the ruins of the old cathedral a new one has been built. It’s a beautiful modern building, famous for its architecture, windows, and art decorations.

Tomorrow will be our last day in England so we now had to move in the direction of the airport. We decided to spend the night in Cambridge.
