IQ staat voor ‘intelligentiequotiënt’. SQ staat voor ‘stupidity quotient’ (stupidity is de Engelse term voor domheid). Een Nederlandse term voor SQ is ‘domheidsquotiënt’.
Dom zijn is niet het tegenovergestelde van intelligent zijn. Je kunt een hoog IQ hebben en toch behoorlijk dom zijn; dan heb je dus een hoog SQ.
Met een SQ van 100, is de helft van de wereldbevolking dommer dan jij bent. Met een SQ van 115, is slechts 15% van de wereldbevolking dommer dan jij, en dan ben jij dus dommer dan de andere 85%.
